Winx’s half-sister makes perfect start at Geelong
The Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman trained Time Of My Life (I Am Invincible), a half-sister to the mighty Winx (Street Cry), got her career off to the perfect start when she broke her maiden over 1121 metres at Geelong yesterday.
Bred and raced by John Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds, the filly bounced clear in the closing stages to beat Bad Girl Bubbles (Overshare) by a length and three-quarters, while Isthmus (I Am Invincible) finished a further long-neck away in third.
The filly is out of Listed winner Vegas Showgirl (Al Akbar) who, as well as Winx, has produced a further four winners, including Group 3 scorer El Divino (Snitzel). Vegas Showgirl has a two year-old filly by Pride of Dubai (Street Cry) named Taleitaki, who is in training with Michael Freedman, and the mare was covered by Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice) last November.
