Victorian Racing Tribunal to hand down its verdict against Darren Weir on Wednesday

Weir pleaded guilty to seven charges of animal cruelty but not guilty to three charges relating to corrupting the outcome of a race relating to the use of a jigger on three racehorses days before the Melbourne Cup at his Warrnambool stables in 2018.

The Victorian Racing Tribunal will hand down its verdict on Weir on Wednesday as well as .

 

Tyson Kermond and Jarrod McLean, the later having pleaded guilty to just three of the 10 charges they are both facing.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9am on Wednesday.
