Valley meet pushed back
Racing will start 30 minutes later than advertised at Moonee Valley tomorrow after Racing Victoria announced a series of interim changes due to the high temperatures forecast. With temperatures in excess of 40 degrees predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology, the first race has been provisionally moved back to 7pm, with the last of eight races scheduled for 10.30pm.
The decision was made in order to avoid the hottest part of the day and take advantage of the cool change which is expected to arrive later in the evening. RV will continue to monitor the forecast and consult with club officials, the Victorian Jockeys’ Association and Australian Trainers’ Association before making a final decision on whether or not the meeting will proceed.
