Unbeaten Anthony Freedman-trained Hanseatic chasing $1.5 million Blue Diamond Stakes

Luke Currie is chasing his second Blue Diamond Stakes in a row this weekend as he
partners unbeaten Anthony Freedman-trained Hanseatic (Street Boss) in the $1.5 million race at Caulfield. The colt has won three races in a row and if he is to win on Saturday, he would become the first since Sepoy (Elusive Quality) to take out the Blue Diamond Preview (C&G) (Listed, 1000m), Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G) (Gr 3, 1100m) and then the feature race. “It would be a good effort but he’s in the right barn and he probably needed the experience of having another run last time in the Prelude,” said Currie. “So hopefully we can make it four in a row. He’s definitely the one to beat. I wouldn’t be swapping him for anything else.”
