Top ten All-Star Mile horses announced

 

The top ten for the All-Star Mile (1600m) have been announced, with the Cranbourne Cup (Listed, 1600m) winner King Magnus (Magnus) an 11th hour addition after the withdrawal of the injured mare Probabeel (Savabeel).
The top ten-voted runners are headlined by the Melbourne Cup (Gr 1, 3200m) winner Verry Elleegant (Zed), who attracted 17,122 votes in total, while fellow Group 1-winning pair I’m Thunderstruck (Shocking) and winner Zaaki (Leroidesanimaux) finished second and third respectively by number of votes.
The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Lighthouse (Mizzen Mast) secured her spot in slot nine, while Regalo Di Gaetano (Supreme Class) and Behemoth (All Too Hard) secured their spots for a second consecutive year in fourth and sixth respectively. Elephant (Shocking) was voted into eighth, while Mr Brightside (Bullbars) and Espiona (Extreme Choice) got through in fifth and seventh respectively.
