So United wins Magic Millions Subzero

So United (So You Think) made up the middle leg of an impressive treble for the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable at the Gold Coast yesterday when he landed the Magic Millions Subzero (2200m). The six-year-old defeated Parry Sound (Pierro) by a head, with Zennzella (Snitzel) finishing the same distance away in third.

So United as a Yearling. Purchased by Blueblood Thoroughbreds, NSW $190,000

“That was fantastic,” said Bott “I was relieved there because the runs were coming strong down, out wide. He deserved it. He made all of the running and kicked well. The horse has come back so well this preparation and keeps improving. I am delighted for everyone involved.” So United was bought by Blueblood Thoroughbreds from the Valiant Stud draft for $190,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in 2019.
Magic Millions Fillies and Mares to Lady Laguna Annabel Neasham’s faith in Lady Laguna (Overshare) was repaid in spades yesterday when the four-year-old mare landed the Magic Millions Fillies and Mares (1300m) at the Gold Coast. The OTI Racing-owned Lady Laguna stayed on bravely to beat Miss Hellfire (Hellbent) by a length, with Maid To Fit (Snitzel) finishing a further length and a half away in third. The mare was not offered at Magic Millions, winning her way into the field for the $1 million contest with a victory in the Nudgee Stakes (Listed, 1200m) at Doomben on December 30.
