Racing Victoria makes changes to All-Star Mile

New Zealand racing fans are to be included in the voting for the 2020 All-Star Mile (1600m), which
will see an increased field of 15 runners under a revised set of entry conditions. The changes
include two ‘win-and-you’re in’ races – the FuturityStakes (Gr 1, 1400m) at Caulfield and the Blamey
Stakes (Gr 2, 1600m) at Flemington – while the minimum handicap rating requirement for horses
aged four and above will rise from a rating of 70to 80. Changes to prize-money are also included,
with horses who finish sixth to eighth getting$120,000, from ninth to tenth getting $100,000
and those who fill the final five positions are to receive $50,000. A minimum performance
requirement has also been introduced, while there will be a change in criteria for the selection
of emergencies
