Racing NSW tightens Covid protocols
Racing NSW yesterday announced new measures following the Victorian government’s lockdown announcement. Any person that has been in Victoria (other than those who have only been in the NSW/Victoria border community) on, or since, January 29 must not, without the permission of Racing NSW, attend a NSW racecourse or licensed premises until further notice.
Individuals who have only been in Victoria in the area defined as the NSW/ Victoria border community since January 29 and have not been to any other area of Victoria, may attend a NSW racecourse or licensed premises, provided that they wear a face mask at all times. Jockeys who fall into this category are to be segregated in a separate jockeys’ room on raceday from the jockeys who have not been to Victoria since January 29. Racing NSW will continue to monitor the Covid-19 cases in Victoria and are expected to provide a further update today.
