Racing Australia to conduct jockey vest review

Racing Australia’s (RA) board of directors has announced a review of jockey safety vests will be undertaken.
The review is scheduled to commence in mid-July and will be conducted by Dr Andrew McIntosh, a recognised expert in biomechanics and ergonomics, with a special interest in impact injury biomechanics, safety and personal protective equipment performance standards. The review will include both technical components and interviews and meetings with stakeholders, with RA anticipating the review will be completed by the end of September this year.
