Poy taken to hospital after fall
Victorian apprentice Michael Poy has been cleared of injury after a fall in race one at Tatura
yesterday. Poy fell from the Danny O’Brientrained French Star (Star Witness) shortly after
the winning post when fifth in the Cheap As Chips Maiden Plate (1100m).
He was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital where scans showed
there was no fractures but he remained under doctors’ care after suffering from concussion.
The second race was delayed as a result of the incident.
