NSW Apprentice jockey Marina Morel has passed away after suffering a fall on Tuesday
Apprentice jockey Marina Morel has passed away after suffering a fall at the New South Wales town of Gulgong on Tuesday.
The NSW Jockeys Association tweeted on Saturday morning that Morel, who originated from France, had passed away due to her injuries suffered.
Morel had been riding a horse for her master Brett Thompson at Gulgong.
Morel, 30, fell from a horse on Tuesday morning and was immediately airlifted to hospital and the call made to her parents in France to fly out to Australia to see their daughter.
