Moody’s Pharoah Filly set for town

Moody’s Pharoah Filly set for town

Coolmore-owned Filly Botany (American Pharoah) set hearts a flutter with her narrow Bairnsdale maiden win last month but the stable believes she will take great improvement for that as she heads to Caulfield tomorrow for start two. “That was nice to see, she really wanted to get the job done and really wanted to win,” Moody’s assistant trainer Katherine Coleman said.
“Even better, she seems to have come through that race quite well, so we’re looking forward to Saturday with her. She’s a Filly that we’ve always liked and had a bit of time for but like a lot of those breeds, you’ve had to be very patient with her and that seems to be paying off now that she’s made it to the races and hopefully, she can keep repaying her owners’ patience there.
I think she’ll develop into a filly that gets a bit further than that in the future, but she still probably needs to mature and fill out a bit more, so I think whatever we see this preparation, we’ll see an improvement next time around.”
