Michael Walker has retired from the saddle

One of the most naturally gifted riders New Zealand has ever produced, Michael Walker has retired from the saddle ❀️
Michael notched up over 2,000 career wins, including 25 at Group 1 level and 1,144 on New Zealand tracks πŸ†
In the 1999/2000 season, Michael’s first year riding as an apprentice to Allan Sharrock, he amassed 131 wins, claiming not only the apprentice title, but the NZ Jockeys Premiership.
A freakish talent and we wish him the very best for the future πŸ™Œ
