Kah’s condition improves
Leading jockey Jamie Kah continues to make improvement in hospital, with her family advising of positive progress on Wednesday evening.
Victorian Jockeys’ Association chief executive Matthew Hyland issued an update to media at 5:09pm (AEDT) on behalf of Kah’s family.
“Jamie is recovering well and is ready to be transferred to one of the Royal Melbourne Hospital wards. She is awake and speaking,” read the statement.
Kah was in and out of consciousness for some time after the fall and suffered heavy concussion.
She was placed under sedation while doctors performed two brain scans on the 27-year-old, but they found no swelling or bleeding to her brain, prior to her awakening from sedation on Monday evening.
