Kah keen to return to the saddle

Jamie Kah has signalled her intent to return to the saddle as she continues to recover, seven weeks on from a race fall at Flemington.

Speaking at a charity event hosted by Colin and Janice McKenna on the eve of the Warrnambool May Racing Carnival, the nine-time Group 1-winning rider is itching to get back into the saddle.

“I have still have lots of doctors’ appointments to go and finish, hopefully not too long and a few more months I can get approved and come back,” Kah said.

“I am going crazy not riding at home … hopefully it’s not too long.”

Kah said being home and surrounded by her horses has helped in her recovery.

“It’s the only thing getting me through, feeding them and looking after the horses,” she said.

“It’s been a pretty tough few weeks buts it’s good being home.”
