Balfour, who is the son of the late trainer David and the brother of Morphettville handler Ryan, received significant sanctions from Racing SA stewards subsequent to his admission of guilt regarding a charge of engaging in improper conduct.

The incident transpired at approximately 7pm on February 16 during breathalyser testing conducted by the Racing SA compliance officer at the behest of several participants in attendance at the racecourse.

During the testing process, Balfour approached from behind and, without consent, proceeded to pull down the pants of the compliance officer, thereby fully exposing him from the waist down to numerous individuals present.

In determining the appropriate penalty, Racing SA stewards noted that while Balfour, licensed as a stable employee/track rider for the 2023-24 season, had previous misconduct offenses, the historical nature of these matters was not considered as aggravating factors.

Bloody racing officials arrogance was probably the reason why they were “Dacked”

The racing official was definitely embarrassed but I feel sure anyone who would report this COMICAL ACT… nd follow it through to the end ..Giiving evidence to ensure the absolutely absurd conviction would have been a mummy’s boy and definitely wore a pair of Reg Grundies. …5 years disqualified from his ONLY Source of Income .. looks cto me that SA Racing Officials definitely do lack a sense of humour
