Covid case confirmed at Warwick Farm
Racing will go ahead at Randwick today with tighter biosecurity measures in place after Racing New South Wales confirmed a positive Covid-19 case at Warwick Farm racecourse yesterday. In conjunction with NSW Health, five close contacts have been located and directed to take a test and self-isolate. Trainers and stable staff have been told not to attend the Randwick fixture, with the track being the only Sydney metropolitan venue currently in operation as Rosehill, Canterbury and Warwick Farm all situated in lockdown zones and unable to resume until the end of August. Randwick stablehands have been designated to unload and attend horses in the absence of stable staff.
