Broken leg sidelines Dunn
Dylan Dunn is set to be sidelined for an extended period after breaking his leg in a trackwork fall at Caulfield.
The jockey took to Twitter on Friday to confirm that he’d fractured both his tibia and fibula and will likely require surgery next week.
It’s a blow for the 26-year-old, who has started the season in hot form with 10 wins from only 65 rides and was set to line up in Saturday’s Listed Debutant Stakes at Caulfield.

“Unfortunately, this morning at Caulfield an incident occurred shortly after leaving the barriers which resulted in me falling off my mount,” Dunn said.
“It’s disappointing to report I broke my Tibia and Fibula in my right leg.
“The Fibula is set to be plated early next week and hopefully I will have a guide as to when I will be back.
“This has been a frustrating time as I had been riding in career-best form and had a great chance tomorrow at Caulfield.
“However, this will give me a good chance to rest my body and I am already looking forward to getting back out there.”
