Bowman takes immediate break

Hugh Bowman may be suffering a post-Winx letdown, with the rider taking an immediate and extended break from racing.

The Daily Telegraph in Sydney reported on Friday that Bowman was exhausted after a tense and emotional autumn highlighted by the retirement of the world’s greatest racing mare.

“I am going to have a break,” Bowman told The Daily Telegraph.

“Everything is fine but I’m exhausted to be honest so I’m going to have a spell, freshen up.”

Bowman had claims of taking the main race at the Gold Coast on Saturday as he was to partner Shillelagh in the $500,000 Group 2 Hollindale Stakes.

A super easy jump out at Caulfield on Tuesday, his first, this 2 year old by this Dream Ahead with Carion Maher, jumped and lead, just collared the last bit when fitness gave out to run second.

Heaps of improvement left in him as he gets more fitness but an absolute professional for his very first look at a jump out.

Shares still for sale but be quick, he had lots of admirers after his jumpout

I’ll post his trial when its up.
